Located in Iowa Falls, IA, Ellsworth Community College has an opening for Director of Athletics & Student Life. This position isresponsible for all aspects of ECC student life and athletics. Specifically, this position will develop and implement a comprehensive,engaging co-curricular background for students that enriches their background leading to greater satisfaction and retention. Additionally,the Director is responsible for 1) the daily operations, supervision, fundraising, budget and NJCAA reporting and compliance of the ECCathletic department; 2) oversight of the personnel, programming, operations, and facilities of Residence Life and Housing and CampusEngagement programs; and 3) the general operation of the Dale Howard Family Activity Center. No coaching duties are included.Masters degree required. 3 Years of background at the administrative level or higher including the development and management ofbudgets. Significant background in residence life preferred. Requires independent decision making, expertise to exercise goodjudgment, and use of critical thinking skills. May work in an environment of shifting priorities; frequent interruptions; hectic pace; andinteraction with students, staff and/or the public. Current expertise of computer software programs which may include Ms word, Ms excel,institutional mainframe computer software, or similar programs. Good written and verbal communication expertise including proficiency inbusiness English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expertise to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion. Expertiseto operate independently as well as be a collaborative team member in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
